State of film production in Pakistan

The News reports that despite an encouraging increase in quality of cinematography in Pakistan, the country was hampered by lack of state-of-the-art facilities such availability of good equipment at film schools, and production/post-production levels in the industry. The commentary article by Daniyal Ali Khan deplored the difficulties in obtaining stock, lack of crafty cinematographers, film processing, telecine. As a result filmmakers had to import cinematographers and get their post-production work done abroad. (Link)
